New Hall Vineyards Bacchus 2012 Essex England

Price: £10.99

A very fresh, aromatic, grapey nose of nettles, herbs and lime fruits - the palate, an off-dry to medium style, has delightfully refreshing acidity and zingy citrus fruits alongside a touch of flinty minerality.

This wine would make a great choice as an aperitif or to serve with summer salads or Southeast Asian cuisine.

New Hall Vineyard is an English Wine Producer with over 65 hectares of vines and is one of the oldest and largest in the Country. It was first established by the Greenwood family, in the Essex village of Purleigh, in 1969. Carefully selected vines have been planted at 12m to 24m above sea level, on well-sheltered, southern facing slopes of a shallow valley. The Bacchus vines are planted on London clay (of Tertiary age) with chalk, concealed below the clay deposits.
